	v1.3 Source Code Update Available Just a quick note to let everyone know that the v1.3 Source Code Update is finally available. This new update is an accumulation of all previous updates, plus more fixes and features. This includes some significant performance improvements to the scene manager, as well as a complete C# and Managed DirectX port thanks to James Herron. You do not need the previous v1.1 or v1.2 source code updates. Just copy the Source directory from your CD-ROM and then apply the appropriate v1.3 update for your printing. After applying the update, remember to read the Update.txt file, which contains important information about the update. To grab the update, just head over to the downloads section. For more information about this update, check out this thread on the forums.

	1st Place Game Download Once again, congratulations to Chris Bate for winning 1st place in the Programming a Multiplayer FPS in DirectX competition. 	Feeback Form Fixed There seems to have been a problem with the email system relating to the Feedback form. Therefore, if you have tried to send in feedback via this form in the last six months, you will probably have not received a reply, since the feedback was never received. The problem has since been resolved, so feel free to send in any comments via this form now.

	Competition Closing Soon After 12 months (including a two month extension), the Programming a Multiplayer FPS in DirectX Competition is finally coming to a close in less than 24 hours. For all those who have registered for the competition, you should have received an email by now with instructions on how to upload your submission. If you have not registered, but want to, it's not too late yet. Just send your registration form in as soon as possible. Good luck to all those who have entered and stay tuned over the coming weeks when we announce the winners!

	Competition Extended! Due to popular demand, the competition period has been extended by two months. The competition was supposed to run for 12 months, so this will account for the almost two months of lost time due to publishing delays. The new closing date is now 11:59PM Eastern Standard Time (U.S.) on 4th January, 2006. Please refer to this thread for more details. So for those who have only just bought their copy of the book, you still have time to get your entry in and have a chance at winning some great prizes.
