v1.3 Source Code Update Available

Just a quick note to let everyone know that the v1.3 Source Code Update is finally available. This new update is an accumulation of all previous updates, plus more fixes and features. This includes some significant performance improvements to the scene manager, as well as a complete C# and Managed DirectX port thanks to James Herron.

You do not need the previous v1.1 or v1.2 source code updates. Just copy the Source directory from your CD-ROM and then apply the appropriate v1.3 update for your printing. After applying the update, remember to read the Update.txt file, which contains important information about the update.

To grab the update, just head over to the downloads section. For more information about this update, check out this thread on the forums.

Competition Extended!

Due to popular demand, the competition period has been extended by two months. The competition was supposed to run for 12 months, so this will account for the almost two months of lost time due to publishing delays.

The new closing date is now 11:59PM Eastern Standard Time (U.S.) on 4th January, 2006. Please refer to this thread for more details.

So for those who have only just bought their copy of the book, you still have time to get your entry in and have a chance at winning some great prizes.
